Here's a LO about one of my favorite things to scrap - our dog-children, Phoebe and Jake. Phoebe is 15 now, and Jake is 10. All winter they laid around the house (neither of them likes cold weather much). I decided to digi-scrap a LO of the pictures I took in January and February of them around the house. It's done in CTMH's Studio J.
Because I am a Studio J member, I get fantastic value from the software program. I did a total of 6 12 by 12 LO's, printed out, and the total was about $45.00. Hard to beat!!

All Abloom
Here's another CTMH digi-scrapped LO using Studio J. Someone gave us an amaryllis bulb at Christmas time, we planted it, and suddenly we had this nearly 3 foot tall plant racing up the side of our floor lamp. When it bloomed, the flowers where as large as plates, and gorgeous. This LO shows a few shots of the "candy cane" red and white amaryllis.
Our second page shows my cousin Janet Gentry and her husband, Bob, who came to visit us the next before leaving (from Nashville) for a month in Mexico. We went to eat at our fav Mexican place, naturally, to send them off on their winter adventure. We got to follow them a few weeks later, too! Here's that LO:

First Winter in Nashville
I've been digi-scrapping a little bit over the past few weeks, just to keep my Junior Consultant status with CTMH. Here's a LO that shows our first winter in our new Nashville location. We had an extremely mild winter, about 30 minutes of snow the whole season (fine with me!). These pictures show that 30 minutes of snow. On the second page are a few shots of our precious birthday girl, Phoebe, who turned 15 honorable years old on Valentine's Day, 2012. She's getting feeble and deaf, but she's our love. And as you can tell, she loves her birthday cupcake!
Mild winter, yes. Violent spring, yes - a 100-year hail storm hit our neighborhood and left us with major damage to Bill's Kia Sorrento. Even worse, our brand new house is getting a new roof and all new gutters. :-(

When DH Left The Lab
On the last day of March, 2011 my husband, Bill, retired after 29+ years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The next day we left for Mexico. In a few weeks we came home and threw a big retirement/new business launch party at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Knoxville (we have since moved to Nashville). I've finally had time to digi-scrap (using CTMH's Studio J) most of the pics from Bill's retirement ceremony at the lab, and of the party. Here are the layouts - I still have a few pages of pictures to go but these are the majority.
I took photos of all the notes people signed onto the picture of ORNL that Bill's co-workers presented to him - along with a framed collage of logos from all the companies Bill had negotiated with over the years. His career was quite impressive, and I'm happy to design this album for him, with love.

Here's to a whole new year of scrapping
Well, a year ago I said I was going to scrap more. Hmm......I did do some, but not nearly as much as I promised myself I would. A year of renovating a house, selling the house, building a new house, moving to a new city, and getting settled has keep me busy - not to mention my business and a bunch of travel thrown into the mix. But now, things are settling down. Thanks to my friend Okie, I just added a new link over on the right to a very cool site that helps scrappers match colors among Stampin' Up, Close To My Heart, and Copic. Check it out when you're trying to match ink and cardstock across brands, pretty cool beans, and it's totally free to use, too!
This year I will be doing a LOT, like a TON of blog candy giveaways. So heads up for those - probably one or two a week for a long time to come.
Happy New Year to my scrapping buddies all across the world. Hugs!

Ireland Trip - More Digiscrapping with Studio J
We have MANY more pictures of our trip to Ireland back in 2004. Maybe I'll chip away at some more of them after Christmas. Meanwhile, here's the second set of 8 LO's using Studio J from Close To My Heart. Enjoy!
Ireland Back in 2004
I've not blogged here for quite some time, the move from Knoxville to Nashville along with work has kept me much busier than I ever thought it would! But I've finally unpacked most of my scrapping stuff, so I'll be back to making cards and scrapping before long. Meanwhile, I spent a half a day digi-scrapping some photos from a trip Bill and I made to Ireland back in 2004. They are some of the most gorgeous pictures we've ever made, but all these years later were still on my hard drive.
I'm still a CTMH consultant (mostly just buy for myself) so I decided to use CTMH's Studio J to digi-scrap a small portion of our Irish pics (there are MANY more!). So far I've done 16 pages. Here's the first 8. I love the flexibility of Studio J, you can take their templates and change things around infinitely. But at some point I have to quit playing around, ha!
We met our good friends Roy and Maureen Paget, who live in Chorley, England and traveled with them. Oddly enough, it was their very first trip to Ireland even though they live a short ferry ride away.
I loved Ireland - and we were blessed with sunshine except on our very last day - and even then saw a big rainbow arching over the land and down to the sea as we were driving to Shannon to fly home. I'll go back for the scenery and the music. Wonder if the rain will stay away next time?
